Early life

Browning was born in mt. Clemens, michigan. He moved to cookeville, tennessee, where he currently resides. There, he attended cookeville where he played baseball and was an all-region second baseman. He also participated in football and after graduating in 2005, froning received a baseball scholarship to walters state community college. Soon after, franning decided to end his baseball career and began working with the cookeville fire department while continuing his studies at tennessee tech university. While working with the fire department, franning became interested in crossfit and quickly developed an interest in it.

Career

Since 2010, froning has been competing in crossfit competitions. Froning won the 2011 crossfit competition and went on to win every competition from the 2012-2014 season, including the world open, and regionals. His winning streak came to an end after he withdrew from individual competition in 2015, and then he finished second in the world behind matthew fraser at the 2015 open. However, as part of his new team, crossfit mayhem freedom, he started a new winning streak, finishing first in all categories in the middle east in 2015.

Says froning, "I don't necessarily like to win, but i hate losing more. "

In 2010, froning started his crossfit era when he qualified for the 2010 south east regional competition through sectional qualifying. Froning won the regional title to qualify for the fourth crossfit competition at home depot center.

At the 2010 competition, froning had five top-five finishes, including two wins, and never dropped below 13th place. He led the last event, but in the last event the rope climbing section exposed his weaknesses in technique. Froning didn't know how to wrap his legs and feet around the rope, so he had to try to climb with his arms. Franning was exhausted and fell off the rope several times. He finished 12th in the final, which created the necessary space for graham holmberg to win the title. On the podium in 2010, holmberg placed first, froning second and chris spear third.

In 2012, froning and anne solisdottir were the first athletes to win the crossfit competition twice. Over the next few years, fleming won four consecutive crossfit competitions, setting the standard for the "Fittest man on the planet".

In the summer of 2015, crossfit's documentary filmmakers noted in the documentary "Froning" That froning was the fittest man in history. In each of the years since, froning has qualified for regionals as an individual; however, he has chosen to compete as a team, as part of the "Crossfit mayhem freedom" Team, which took first place at the 2015 and 2016 competitions, and second place in 2017. The team took second place in 2017.

Diet and training

He does not adhere to a traditional fitness diet or diet control, both of which are popular in the fitness world. Instead of sticking to a specific diet plan, he prefers to listen to his body. He eats a lot of peanut butter and drinks whole milk, neither of which meet traditional standards. During the day, he usually doesn't eat much, but instead eats a big meal and drinks multiple protein shakes in the evening.

He says he works out several times a day and, unlike other athletes, he does not like to take days off. Froning has neither a coach nor a training analyst to help him with his training. Instead, he often finds a great athlete to be his training partner, such as athletes dan bailey and james hobart.

Froning's 2013 memoir, first: What it takes to win, discusses some of froning's own training methods.

Franning has undoubtedly become an iconic figure in crossfit history, and he may no longer be unbeatable. But you will remember him for his brilliance, and he may even be the one who inspired you to start getting involved in crossfit competitions and training.
